Low Carb Mozzarella-Stuffed Breadsticks
Ingredients:
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup almond flour
- 2 tablespoons cream cheese
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
Warm the oven up to 350F 175C and put parchment paper on a baking sheet
Put the shredded mozzarella cheese and cream cheese in a bowl that can go in the microwave
Stir the cheeses together every 30 seconds while heating them in the microwave until they are melted and well mixed
To the melted cheese, add the almond flour, egg that has been beaten, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper
Mix it together until a dough forms
Split the dough into 4 equal pieces
Make a rectangle shape out of each piece and place it on the baking sheet that has been prepared
Run a string of mozzarella cheese down the middle of each square
Fold the dough over the cheese slowly and pinch the edges to close them
The breadsticks should be baked in a hot oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until they are golden brown and done all the way through
Take it out of the oven and let it cool down a bit before you serve it
